And Emigreat believes that everyone, no matter where they’re from, should have the opportunity to work & live beyond borders. We wanted to find a way to serve an underserved market - legal compliance for international employees - to lower the barriers of hiring internationals.

How we began

Cofounders Anali & Saaya come from very different parts of the world - the Dominican Republic & Japan/USA, respectively. But they connected over their shared experience of immigrating to Sweden, and of the struggles they faced.

They knew there had to be an easier way to relocate, and felt that the access to information was not equitable in the relocation process. They thought a digital solution could minimize human errors and grey zones.

They began working as relocation consultants to understand firsthand the problems that companies face when hiring international employees. And with this experience, a good understanding and network in the Swedish immigration system, and a team of immigrants, they started creating a software to help reduce information inequity and make it easier and more secure to hire and retain international employees.
